Northmont in three games Tuesday by scores of 25-20,
25-12, 25-15 to advance in the Greatern Western Ohio
Conference tournament.

a blasé performance early on against Sidney, the Troy

09.25.2011 CENTERVILLE - The
Troy Trojans came up with clutch plays to claim Game 1
Saturday at Centerville. But the Elks (11-2) took
over from there, putting Troy out of sorts with tough
serving in a 26-28, 25-14, 25-12, 25-12 Greater Western
Ohio Conference crossover match.

09.23.2011 TROY - The Troy
Trojans had a signature moment during a rally in one
game of a five-game loss to Butler earlier this season,
but they were still without a signature victory.
Check that off the list.

Trojans Sweep Trotwood.
09.21.2011 TROTWOOD - Troy
cruised to a sweep of Trotwood Tuesday, winning 25-15,
25-5, 25-11.
Chelsey Sakal had 12 assists and six aces, Tori Fenter
had 11 digs and two aces. Marie Rank had six kills and
four assists, Jenna Selby chipped in eight kills and
three assists, Leah Selby had four kills.

09.14.2011 XENIA - With a
big Greater Western Ohio Conference North Division
showdown against the Butler Aviators on the horizon,
Troy didn't want to mess around.

09.11.2011 The Trojans (6-4)
got down a game to Springfield Shawnee in the
championship match of the Troy Invitational Saturday,
then - after rallying to take the second game - fell
behind 6-0 in the decisive third game and never
recovered in a 25-23, 24-26, 25-18 loss to claim the
runner-up spot.

Trojans knew what they needed. "We needed a win
tonight," Troy coach Michelle Owen said. "That was our
goal no matter what. We hadn't won in a week and needed
to remember what it felt like." It had to feel
pretty good.

A season ago, the Troy Trojans won their second Greater
Western Ohio Conference title in the past three years.
Which is all well and good, but they want to do one
