Troy fell 45-44 to Central Columbia in overtime on a late Blue Jay bucket during non-league girls' basketball action.
Kailyn Sterling had 22 points to lead Troy while Giana Renzi netted 10. Alyssa Parks scored nine, Madelyn Seeley had two, and Kyah Renzo chipped in with one.
Troy led most of the way, relinquishing their advantage briefly late in the second quarter before the two teams were tied at 21 during the break.
A 15-6 third quarter run by the Trojans put them firmly in control going into the final frame, but were held to just four points as the Blue Jays rallied to send the game into overtime.
Central Columbia would take a 3-point lead to start the extra period, only to watch Troy scored back to back buckets for a 1-point lead.
The Trojans had possession, inbounding the ball with 14.4 seconds left only to be hit with a five second call.
In the final seconds of the game Central got the winning bucket.
