Troy Girls Finish 6th At Josh Palmer Tournament

The Troy girls' basketball team took sixth in the National at the Josh Palmer Fund Tournament, going 1-2 overall.
They opened with a loss to eventual tournament champions Bishop Kearney (71-47), then defeated North Rockland (63-52), before falling to Horseheads (52-35) in the fifth place game.
Kailyn Sterling led Troy with 13 points on 6-for-10 shooting to go with five rebounds against Kearney, as Alyssa Parks added nine points, and five boards.
Gloria Andrews hit three 3-balls to score nine points, while Kyah Renzo was 4-for-8 with an eight point effort. Giana Renzi notched six, with Madelyn Seeley adding four.
In the win over North Rockland four different Trojans scored in double-figures, led by Giana Renzi’s 18 points, while Gloria Andrews netted 14. Both of them had four 3-balls on the night.
Kailyn Sterling also scored 14, while Alyssa Parks netted 13. Madelyn Seeley, and Kyah Renzo scored two points apiece.
Against Horseheads Giana Renzi had 10 points to lead the Trojans, as Alyssa Parks netted eight. Kyah Renzo scored six, with Kailyn Sterling adding four.
Ella VanNoy and Gloria Andrews had three points each, as Madelyn Seeley finished with one.
