Troy's Offense Explodes For Over 600 Yards In Win Over Wellsboro

Troy rolled past Wellsboro, 50-20, to stay undefeated in NTL football action.
They ran for 361 yards on 24 carries while through the air Evan Woodward was 11-for-16 for 253-yards and two scores. Lincoln Chimics was his top target, hauling in five catches for 136-yards and two touchdowns.
Reed Palmer also had two catches for 52-yards and a score.
On the ground Mason Smith led the way with three carries for 101-yards and a touchdown, while Brendan Gilliland had five carries for 90-yards. Spencer Martin had three touches for 80 yards and score, as Noah Ellis had a 47-yard rushing touchdown.
Woodward led off the scoring with a 9-yard run with 9:26 left in the first quarter. Gavin Lykon-Leffler added the point after for a 7-0 lead.
With 5:20 on the clock Woodward hit Chimics for a 42-yard touchdown pass. Lykon-Leffler added the point after for the 14-0 lead.
13 seconds into the second quarter Smith had an 80-yard run to pay dirt. Lykon-Leffler nailed the point after for a 21-0 lead.
Woodward then hit Palmer for a 45-yard strike with 10:20 on the clock. Lykon-Leffler’s kick was good for a 28-0 lead. Lykon-Leffler then hit a 35-yard field goal just before the half for a 31-0 lead.
Woodward would put Troy into the mercy rule with a 46-yard pass to Chimics that ended up in the end zone. Lykon-Leffler’s kick was good for a 38-0 advantage.
Wellsboro got on the scoreboard as Griffin Moral hit Jonathan Carl for a 36-yard scoring strike. Carl’s kick was good to make it 38-7.
Ellis then had his 47-yard run to pay dirt with 34 seconds left in the third for a 43-7 lead.
Back to back touchdown runs by Kody Enck and Dylan Copp in the fourth made it 43-20. Troy had the final say as Martin ripped off a 74-yard touchdown run with 36 seconds left. Lykon-Leffler made it 50-20 with the point after.
