McRoberts Sends Troy Girls To D4 2A Championship Game

An Alexis McRoberts goal with 5:52 left in the game propelled Troy past Hughesville 1-0 in the District IV, Class AA girls' soccer semi-finals.
The win clinches them a spot in states and sends them to the district final, both firsts for the program.
Troy's freshman keeper Izzy Renzi had nine saves to claim the clean sheet as the two teams had eight shots apiece. The Spartans had a 10-2 edge in corner kicks.
