
Renzo, McRoberts Score Pair Of Goals To Lead Troy Past Athens

Troy pulled away from Athens, 5-2, to stay undefeated in NTL girls’ soccer action Thursday.
The Trojans led 2-1 at the half, then added three more goals in the second, as Saydi Renzo and Alexis McRoberts had two goals each.
Kylee Roy added a goal with Giana Renzi getting two assists. Stella Rockwell chipped in with an assist, as well.
Delanie Patton and Bilikula Wennie had the two Athens goals.
Troy led 1-0 as Roy scored off a Rockwell assist just over minutes into the game.
Wennie tied it up with goal at the 10:46 mark, but just six minutes later McRoberts got her first goal off a Renzi assist.
In the second half Patton tied the game up with a goal at the 29:25 mark, but Renzo put Troy up 10 minutes later.
McRoberts added one at the 15:48 mark, then Renzo put the game away with 3:51 to play.
Troy out shot Athens 16-6 with the Wildcats getting a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
Izzy Renzi had two saves for the Trojans.
