Trojan Track & Field Teams Take 2nd In Quad Meet At Athens

The Troy track and field teams both took second during NTL quad meet action Tuesday.

On the boys' side Athens (95) nipped Troy (89), with Wyalusing (60) and Sayre (22) finishing out the scoring.

For the girls Athens (110) pulled away from Troy (77), Wyalusing (69), and Sayre (10).

For the boys' Ben Warburton was second in the 100 (11.43) and in the 200 (22.84). Teammate Evan Geer (2:10.79) won the 800 as Mason Wulff (2:14) was third, while Geer also won the 1600 (4:46.38).

Rylan Breidt was third in the 100 hurdles (17.71) and the 300 hurdles (46.02). Kendrick Ross (6-feet, 2-inches) was second in the high jump.

Warburton won the long jump in 22-feet, 4-inches, with Cameron Morey winning the triple jump in 42-feet, 1-inch. Hart Houseknecht (10-feet) was second in the pole vault.

Avery Sens won the discus in 131-feet, 6-inches, and the shot put in 51-feet, 2 1/2-inches. Cooper Watkins (37-feet, 6-inches) came in third.

Troy went 1-2 in the javelin with Breidt (131-feet) and Sens (129-feet, 6-inches).

For the girls Ellie Spalding was third in the 100 (13.83) and second in the 200 (29.12). Teammate Haylie Davies-Grove was third in the 400 in 1:08.45.

Gloria Andrews (2:54.37) and Davies-Grove (2:57.76) went 2-3 in the 800.

Alyssa Parks (56.97) won the 300 hurdles as teammate Kylee Roy (50.72) was third. Roy (17.12) was second in the 100 hurdles. Parks also won the high jump in 4-feet, 10-inches, with Roy winning the triple jump in 33-feet, 6 1/2-inches.

Maddy Keeney (30-feet, 3-inches) was third in the triple jump, with Parker Lee (14-feet, 8 3/4-inches) third in the long jump.

Lee (8-feet, 6-inches) and Parks (8-feet, 6-inches) went 1-2 in the pole vault. Ella Lawton (85-feet, 9-inches) was third in the discus.

Madelyn Seeley (103-feet, 8-inches) won the javelin.
