
Troy Cruise Past Wyalusing In Home Opener

Troy unveiled their new state title banner then rolled past Wyalusing 49-14 in their home opener during the 2025 football season.
Before the game they unveiled the new sign just below the scoreboard, while the Troy Chamber of Commerce presented a $1,600 check to be used for grants and programs that support all Troy students.
On the field the Trojans amassed 435 yards of total offense, led by Mason Smith going 10-for-12 for 157-yards and two scores from under center. He also rushed for a touchdown.
Trey Teribury had four catches for 99-yards and two scores to lead the Trojans while Brendan Gilliland ran the ball nine times for 74-yards and two scores. Kael Millard added seven carries for 60-yards and two touchdowns.
Troy scored three first quarter touchdowns en route to a 35-0 first half lead.
Two plays into the game Smith hit Teribury for a 50-yard score, making it 7-0 after the Gavin Lykon-Leffler point after.
With 6:40 left in the opening frame Millard punched one in from a yard out for a 14-0 lead after Lykon-Leffler’s kick.
Gilliland would get a 6-yard touchdown just before the first horn with Lykon-Leffler’s kick making it 21-0 Trojans.
Troy went back to the air to start the second quarter as Smith hit Teribury for a 39-yard scoring hook-up. Lykon-Leffler’s kick was good for a 28-0 lead with 11:01 left in the half.
Smith would punch one in from a yard out for a 35-0 lead after Lykon-Leffler’s kick with 3:45 left.
After a Wyalusing touchdown Troy got the final say of the half as Gilliland ran in a score from 5-yards out with 22.6 seconds to play. Lykon-Leffler’s kick was good for a 42-7 lead at the half.
Millard busted open a 40-yard touchdown run early in the third as Lykon-Leffler’s kick made it 49-7.
