
Troy Outscores Wellsboro Late For 14-7 Baseball Win

Troy broke a 7-7 tie after three, out scoring Wellsboro 7-0 in the final four innings to get the NTL baseball win Tuesday.
The Trojans led 6-0 after one, and 7-0 midway through the second. The Hornets tacked on five runs in the bottom half of the inning, then scored two more in the third to knot things up at 7-all.
A 3-run fourth got the momentum back on Troy’s side. They added another run in the fifth, then scored three more in the seventh to secure the win.
Brendan Gilliland (2-for-4) had two doubles, three runs scored, and an RBI,a s Lincoln Chimics (2-for-3) scored twice, and had 2-RBI.
Reed Palmer (2-for-5) had a double, with three runs scored, while Joseph Frye (1-for-4) had a double, two runs scored, and 2-RBI.
Trey Teribury (2-for-4) scored a run, with Evan Woodward (1-for-4) driving in two runs. Mason Smith (1-for-4) scored twice, with Camden Allen driving in a run, and Logunn Heasley scoring a run.
Allen started, and 1 2/3-innings with two strikeouts, two walks, five hits, and five runs, one of which was earned.
Frank Harper went the final 5 1/3-innings for the win, striking out two with three walks, six hits, and two earned runs.
