Troy Girls Pull Away From Waverly For Big Win

WAVERLY, N.Y. - After a tight first quarter Troy routed Waverly, 65-34, in non-league girls' hoops action.

Kyah Renzo had 24 points to lead the Trojans, as Haidyn Watson netted 11, and Realynne Woodward scored 10.

Emma Mickley netted eight, Giana Renzi scored seven, and Izzy Renzi rounded things out with five.

Waverly led 15-13 after the first quarter behind Judson’s five points.

Renzo exploded in the second with eight points, while Watson netted five, to give Troy a 30-20 lead at the half.

The Trojans came out firing in the third, hitting four 3-balls, while Renzo added seven more to her tally to make it 51-31 going into the fourth.

Renzo led Troy's 14-3 run in the fourth with seven more points.
