TROY - The excitement inside the Commons Building matched the thunderous weather on the outside as Wyalusing rallied for a 3-2 win over Troy during NTL volleyball action Thursday.

Troy eked out a first set win of 27-25 but Wyalusing rallied with a 25-9 second set victory.

Troy took the lead with a 25-23 third set win, followed by the Rams taking the fourth set 25-18.

In the deciding fifth set Wyalusing prevailed 15-13.

"I told the girls play your game, and I think you saw that in the second set when it was 25-9," said Wyalusing coach Elizabeth VanDerpool. "That's my team, that's how they play - so that was really cool to have that set. But to come out with a win, working through those mistakes that we had."

Wyalusing led 14-9 in the fifth set but saw Troy rally to cut it to 14-13.

"I said play your game, and keep that energy, even with the mistakes," VanDerpool remarked. "It was cool seeing them fit into their spots - seeing what the team could be, and who's going to be where."

Josie Ferris had 21 assists, 14 digs, three aces, two kills, and a block with Jalynn Herda adding 10 kills, seven digs, three blocks, and three aces.

Emily Johns notched 17 kills, two blocks, four digs, and an ace, as Add VanDerpool had 13 digs, five kills, one assist, and an ace.
